The Yoma Room

A Center for Wellness

Becky Andrew
Reiki Practitioner
A few years ago I found myself spinning out of control with the stress; overcommitted and running myself into the ground emotionally, physically and mentally.  I was tired, irritable, depressed and strung out. I knew it was time to make some serious changes in my life and decided to start taking Yoga classes.  Yoga has been a life-changing experience for me. It opened a whole new world of stress relief and spiritual awakening. I  developed a daily meditation practice, studied Tai Chi and was introduced to Reiki. Reiki energy  was nothing short of amazing to me.  I really had no expectations and frankly was a little sceptical but open to the experience. The feeling of relaxation, peace and love continued throughout that day and into the next.  The subject of Reiki came up in a number of conversationsin the following weeks - sometimes seemingly out of the blue.

Months later, I was surfing the internet and came upon a Reiki I/II class. I knew I had to attend that class. I am a certified Reiki Master Practitioner and a member of the Interational Association of Reiki Professionals.

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that promotes healing.

Reiki is a gentle hands on (or in the aura) technique that connects the practitioner with universal life force energy allowing them to offer the healing energy to their clients.  It brings deep relaxation and peace to those involved while strengthening the body’s ability to heal itself.

Reiki energy heals on many levels; physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. It can balance the flow of subtle energy by releasing blockages.

During a Reiki sessions, the client remains fully clothed resting comfortably on a Reiki/Massage table. You may wish to remove your shoes for added comfort. Soft relaxing music enhances the experience. Reiki supports and will not interfere with any medical or supplemental healing methods a client may be using.

Reiki can do no harm and will not work if harm is intended or if thoughts and intentions are negative. Reiki will only work to bring forth the highest good for a person or situation.  Reiki is based on positive intentions, unconditional love, caring, peace, compassion and trust.

Fees:  Introductory fee $45.00 for a 45 minute session and $60.00 for a 66 minute session. Payment may be made by personal check or cash. Please plan on an hour to allow time to fill out the client information sheet and for me to answer any questions you might have.
