Some of you know for quite some time Cathy and I have been hoping to find someone to take over ownership/management of Yoma. Cathy's sign business has grown and become very time consuming and with her part of the management of Yoma, her chances to take breaks and nurture herself are becoming more difficult to arrange. I have been looking forward to having more time to be available to family. I was hoping to continue to teach and Cathy wanted to continue to offer massage at the same location without all the responsibility of ownership but the right person has not appeared to take over so these are the changes that will be coming to the Yoma Room.
We have decided to not renew our lease which expires on June 30. Everything will remain the same until then. Punch cards expire (as they always have) in 60 days or June 30, whichever comes first. During the month of June if your card expires and you choose not to purchase a new card, the fee will be $9 a class. We plan to make the next weeks a fun time.
Cathy's plan is to make some changes at her home to accommodate her massage practice. My plan, which is still very much in the early stages of developement, is to find an inexpensive space in or near Saxonburg to continue to teach for at least another year. It is possible the other teachers might join me. Let us know if you have any ideas. You see, Cathy and I feel such a strong connection to the students/clients we care so much about and have become so close to over the 18 years (20 years for Cathy) we have been serving the community. We would like to continue that connection but in a more relaxed way without the pressure of all that goes with maintaining the Yoma Room as it is now.
If you have been away for a while, I hope you will stop back in to enjoy the special energy of Yoma and maybe take a few classes or have a massage in the coming weeks. This is also the time for anyone new to come and start a good foundation for a yoga practice.
We appreciate those of you have supported the Yoma Room and shared your energy and practice with us. Many of you have shared with us the joys and sorrows of your life. We appreciate your trust in us. We appreciate the teachers who have brought so many good ideas, taken such good care of their students and the Yoma Room. Through the years you have touched our hearts with the love and kindness you have shown us through our loss of family members, Cathy's illness, my surgery, the accidents and health issues in our family. Thank you from the heart.
With great respect and love,
Cathy and Phyllis

You bring so much to all our lives .I believe your presence & the work you all do has raised the vibration of Saxonburg. There is a feeling there beyond description."
